This course is an introduction to philosophy that looks at the distinctive methods philosophers use. We will cover many of the major schools of thought in Western philosophy and their continued influence on the world. Along the way, we will learn about characters like Plato, Descartes and Kant, looking at their ideas concerning knowledge, reality and the mind. No prior knowledge of the subject is required.
