Friday 23 October 2026 | 10:00am – 12:30pm
This is one of our favourite Wirral walks as it is highly varied and includes superb views across the Dee estuary, attractive leafy footpaths, the NT owned Heswall fields nature reserve, the wooded gorge of The Dungeon and the heather and the gorse-covered Heswall Dales lowland heath. The distance is 4 miles to be taken at a leisurely pace. The route is mostly good under foot, but some parts may be muddy after heavy rain.
We will meet at 10.00 at the large free car park at the end of Banks road in Lower Heswall, CH60 9JS (near where the former Sheldrakes restaurant used to be).
Afterwards, we can take refreshments at the café by the car park.
No booking required – just come along and enjoy the day!
For the walk, a nominal fee of £1 is applicable to all participants.
