Tap Dance For Health

Dance your way to health with tap dancing. Unlike many exercise classes which work on specific parts of the body, tap dancing is an excellent way to achieve all-round fitness because it strengthens, tones, improves posture and flexibility - and is a great cardiovascular workout into the bargain.

♦ Please note - when you see this against a course, it means that it runs for three terms beginning in September. New learners should not enrol after that term.  All other courses may be joined at any term.

Available Classes

♦ Tap Dance (Beginners)

1 hour class £27 per 10 weeks
A friendly introductory course. Many adults say that once started, they get the tap 'bug' and tap for many years. Tap is a really enjoyable activity to increase fitness and have fun at the same time. The work is adjusted to suit the capabilities of all learners, to enable an easy introduction and progression.
Equally suitable for men and women. Tap shoes not essential.

With Julia Whitehead,

Friday Afternoon (14.30 - 15.30)

♦ Tap Dance (Intermediate)

1 hour class £37 per 10 weeks.

Intermediate standard - for those familiar with time-steps, flaps, two-steps and cramp rolls. It soon comes back - you never forget 'shuffle-ball change'! Exercise with fun, and learn new steps.
Equally suitable for men and women.

Tuesday Morning (10:00 - 11:00)
