Aspects Of Life And Death In Ancient Egypt *NEW*

Each week a different topic will be discussed. This includes where the ancient Egyptian’s lived and how they were buried. The relationship between magic and medicine will be examined and the link  between royalty and the gods.  There is an opportunity to handle ancient artefacts on a visit to the Atkinson Gallery  in Southport and an exhibition visit to the Victoria Gallery and Museum (Liverpool). We will end the course by considering ongoing and recent excavations in Egypt and the influence ancient Egypt has had on popular culture.
