Summer Photo Walks

Tutor: Robin Eley-Jones

£10.00 per walk (Non-members plus £1)

Enjoy a pleasant stroll and gather some tips to improve your picture taking abilities. The walks start about 10.00 am (except Heswall 2.30pm) finishing after about 2 hours for refreshments in a nearby pub or café for those who wish. These walks are open to all members and their friends — of any current ability. Enrol at the 3Ls Office and you will be provided with detailed joining instructions (car sharing will be available on most of the walks, starting from the Civic Centre).

Friday April 21st GREAT BUDWORTH VILLAGE
One of Cheshire’s most stunning small villages - a personal favourite - cottages and cobbled streets, plus a fine church and churchyard, together with typical village pub.

Thursday April 27th LIVERPOOL ALBERT DOCK
Meeting in Liverpool we will walk down and around the dock buildings after passing the front of the Liver Buildings and promenade. Lunch at the historic Pump House pub.

Wednesday May 3rd HESWALL SHORE (afternoon walk)
Meeting at the car park near to Sheldrake’s, we will walk a short distance along quiet lanes before returning along the shore side to photograph a marooned boat and (hopefully) interesting skies. Refreshments afterwards for those who wish.

Monday June 19th CHESTER CITY AND RIVERSIDE
Every list of summer walks just has to include a visit to Chester. Our route will be through the City centre (photographing people and buildings) then down to the river to try some landscape photography, finishing with lunch at the Albion.

Tuesday June 27th THORNTON HOUGH VILLAGE
A new walk around the village and a short walk through some fields with views towards the Welsh hills (about a mile in distance). Lunch at the Seven Stars pub.

Monday July 3rd GRAPPENHALL VILLAGE
Very close to Warrington this little known village is exactly opposite. Its cobbled high street and old church makes people think that they have been transported back 150 years in time. Fine houses, beautiful canal side views tophotograph plus a choice of two pubs for lunch afterwards.
