Investigating the History and Heritage of Wirral

Tutor: Heather Butler
Tuesday 12.15-2.15

Researching local history is more than a purely academic pursuit. Anyone can do it! Wirral has medieval villages, archaeological remains, historic buildings, fine churches and graveyards. These, together with written evidence reveal much in terms of lifestyle, custom, social hierarchy and wealth. We will be finding out about protection, conservation and preservation, how to examine and date heritage sites together with learning more about our great local history. There will be plenty of visits.
